Phil sees a $1,999 “cut the cord” ad and snaps at a $387 bill. His wife Sabrina calls Jane. Jane calls Wellspring. Dan and Bryan sit Phil down with a real off-grid install—panels, batteries, inverters, a natural-gas genset that also heats the shed—and walk him through what off-grid actually costs.

Why we made this

Solar is confusing. Not because it's actually confusing — it just gets explained badly. We build and install real systems at Wellspring Solar, and every conversation with a new customer covers the same handful of things: how sunlight becomes electricity, why the utility cares, what makes a permit stamp, why the transformer down the street matters, what happens on install day.

So we made games. Play one, and you'll be a smarter homeowner for the rest of your life — and the dog will still say "BORK!"
